RIP Notorious B.I.G.

I was in Canada DJing some clubs when I received word
that Biggie had lost his life in L.A. I had a mixtape out with
"Hypnotize" as the first song and was really excited about
the forthcoming album. It was really a tragedy and a blow
for hip hop. R.I.P. We'll always luv Big Poppa! - DJ B-Mello

Today marks the 12th year anniversary of the passing of Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls.  I wanna take some time to say Rest In Peace to my dude.

I first met him in NYC way back in the day before he had a record out.  I was lucky enough to see him do his thing live on stage just freestyling on other people's sets before he was "on" as well as caught him at his prime in front of huge crowds.

I was also lucky enough to interview BIG for Seattle's original hip hop magazine "The Flavor" on the day he shot the Rmx video for Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear".  I was also lucky enough to work (promote) some of his records as well as play them helping break one of the most important artists of our time!

On this anniversary I've collaborated with Mixtapemovies.com and they have released The Notorious, Life After Death.  I did the scratches on this project so peep it out.  I'll put some links to download the song as well.
